Whitby Dive Site

All Rights Reserved

The following statement is a legitimate and binding contract, one that the majority of genuine researchers undertake to follow when gathering any research material, more so when gathered from sources, which include government organisations or maritime institutions for example. Given the chosen topics of this website it would have been difficult to feature what I have planned, without gaining the necessary authority to do so. Understanding the way the Internet works today and the apparent ease  at which it is to copy or replicate data it may perhaps seem trivial to many people, I do however feel it obligatory to add the following statement below and ask that you respect our wishes.

No part of this website may be reproduced in any form or by any means - graphic, electronic, or mechanical including printing, or information storage / retrieval systems - without prior written permission. The content featured on this site is privately owned unless specifically stated otherwise. I have legitimate permission to reproduce selected information on this website, such permission has been granted to me for my own personal use and does not cover any third party use! Creating copies of any part of this website for any purpose other than your own personal use would be a violation of copyright laws and morally wrong.

My website is not officially linked to any organisation, body or entity and the views expressed are entirely those of the author. The site is entirely privately funded for informational / educational reasons only, no revenue is generated by the website or it's contents and it is my hope for it to remain so.

I appreciate the use of the Internet as a valuable educational tool and by hosting research material I agree to share  my data with interested parties, however, I would point out that a great deal of time, money and effort has gone into compiling my material and as such I would ask that you respect my wishes in maintaining the authenticity of the contents featured within this website and not abuse the privileges you have in being able to access what I perceive to be a wealth of valuable information. I have been fortunate in being able to source information about the Rohilla in particular from family and friends of people involved directly or indirectly with the loss of the hospital ship. A great deal of information I have planned for the website in the future comes from such family and friends and whilst privileged it is our wish to share it with users of this website given due reverence for its source. It is more than likely that if contacted I would not object to sharing information with you, indeed I welcome your correspondence and any feedback or suggestions you have, especially if they add to my pages.
